Yes, a bit of machining is good for the spirit
Meditation is concentrating the front mind on a mundane task so that the rest of the mind can find peace.

I will still try to pierce the point stainless steel ...

Be careful!
Here's what I have in mind for the dart, 8mm body diameter and six fins.

very nice!
complex to do ... the fins are made separately and glued?

No, all from one solid piece of brass.
Not that complex to do.

Enough not to make mass production feasible
I also need to make a delrin plug to stop the tungsten's inertia making it fall out...

"Enough not to make mass production feasible "
I am sure!
And if is glued the tungsten? a little hot glue or epoxy ...
The stainless steel point was glued with hot glue on the aluminum body

Definitely will need some epoxy, but it's better to have something physical between the pusher plate and the tungsten.

Yep,
read up
But the tail should not be heavy ...
Tungsten: 19.25 g/cm3
Delrin: 1.42 g/cm3
I
think balance will be fine
Your missile weighs how much?
Here you go:

it is beautiful! it shines!
With tungsten carbide it will weigh 38.46g, practically 40g with delrin!
EDIT :
you'll put the delrin like that?

More muzzle energy but lower velocity, so less chance of the tungsten core shattering. I want this thing to go through both flanges of the beam
