Something a bit more sophisticated than that, remember
this idea? I figure I could make something like this fairly easily:

Might even figure out an ejector too
... either that or I'll make it a coaxial for some real power.

You know JSR I thought your goal with those carts wher to get full auto none the less good Idea but I would make the shotgun a single shot I don't like the Whole great idea with double barrels.

Doesn't the P90 use a blow forward action?

Jared does your post have relevance to the topic?

It did since we were talking about making a blow forward action pneumatic....
However I just looked it up and its an interesting topic if anyone is interested... but I found out the p90 doesn't have the action I thought it had...
So in short It appears no that it didn't have any relevance though I thought it did at the time...
Confused yet?

Not at all Jared carry on with hijacking topics...

no I don't know any gun has blow forward, it might have forward ejecting cartridges but blowforward, no

hey I think I'll be joining in on the experimenting with bb systems like jack and ant, I found that some of my scrap goes together perfectly for making such stuff: 6mm OD copper pipe that I got from school that sleeves in some plastic tubes that packaged some flexible glow sticks that can make bb barrels, which can be sleeved in a metal rod from my fire extinguisher, which can sleeve into my scrap 1/2 cpvc, which can be sleeved in 1/2" pvc
I also got some springs to fit around the copper pipe
so out of luck I can produce 5 layers of sleeving with my random scrap tubing and pipe. the first thing I'm gonna try is this blow forward breech

cool, goodluck

I hope you don't mind if I post up my prototype progess on your thread jack, since I 'm using the same design.
okay, I've made a prototype but, of course it doesn't work yet, also I'm not a great craftsman so it leaks like crazy and many parts are hot glue and some are held together during testing, so far I cant get the bolt to go back I guess its because of the leaks around the ball

fyi: the thing on the back is a flow control valve
jack do you have any tips to get this to work? you sorta made it work and thats farther than I got
oh yeah I forgot to mention I just hit a 1000 posts, this is 1001

can you post details of the internals?

I think I know what I need after I saw
ants new design
well this is the general inside layout of my prototype from the last post
and now I'm trying a new design, basically I'm just using a a diffrent hammer valve more like ant's and I'm making a wider bolt/piston base

How do you cock the bolt forward for the first shot?
Posted: Thu Mar 27, 2008 3:35 pm
by iknowmy3tables
I don't know, does it have too, I though it would be more reliable if I wasn't dependent on momentum, can't the spring tension on the bolt exceed the force on the hammer valve?

did I just fail

Am I completly wrong about the last post, is it a hammer valve because it uses momentum like a hammer, sigh, alright I guess I'll have to make a quick and dirty pin trigger, and to cock it I'll have to open the whole thing and manually push it forward
