The original version has a chamber made of the same grey PVC, so version 2.0 is only slightly shorter.

There's only so much frustration coming from hacking apart siezed up epoxy casings that a man can take :P

If I can get it to pop reliably, I'll see what it does on single shots with anything from pellets in a 6mm barrel, BBs in a 4.5mm barrel and the smaller 3mm bearings I recently obtained, and we'll move from there :)

Hey if the wrts comes to the worst and air leaks past the piston filling the area behind, you can always drill a little hole in the threaded cap can't you?

I'm certain it will leak behind the piston, but fairly sure it won't be enough to affect performance. Ah well, leaving work in a couple of minutes so we'll know soon enough :)

Istn't it more the case that if it's sealed behind the piston if it leaks it could just vaguely fill with pressurised air , and so you'd have less piston travel with each shot till eventually you've got the same pressure either side?

Although of course if it leaks in, it'll leak out.

He had not seen all this, and even if it was an old topic, he wanted to say what he thinks. It looks elegant, so simple. Great Ideas Jack. I would like to see a video, (of more than 10 seconds :D ), of these things working. I mean the mechanism of the valve, because I already saw on youtube how it shoots, very good.

It's all clear. I was browsing your channel, (I'm still there), much to see, and nice things.
One question: Is the valve on the side of the syringe, to fill the "air spring" at a predetermined pressure?
Do you regulate the frequency with the volume of the firing chamber ?, or with the air flow that enters this chamber?
I mean, higher volume, slower ?, or less air, slower?

Yes, more pressure in the air spring = greater firing pressure = more power

A smaller "buffer" chamber will increase rate of fire, but air flow is the way to regulate it. You can see it in action here, I change the flow by changing the pressure on the blowgun trigger and this changes the rate.

I understand. You regulate the speed of the cycles with variation of the air flow. Good job Jack. The one who does not build an automatic and homemade airgun, after this, it is because he does not want to! :o regards
