If a human can be that good, I wonder what a robot or other computerized targeting system could do? I've heard about I think a system for tanks called Excalibur or something, but never for bows...

Cool as it would be, that can't happen. As D_Hall has said, video of VERA would take rather more to get cleared for public release than photos, so it's not going to happen in time. This is fortunate for everyone else.

Also, D_Hall doesn't seem like the kind of person who's up for competitions.

Almost the end of November and not enough entries to justify a contest in my opinion. Is it just a general lack of enthusiasm on the forum, or is the timing a little off, in the sense that holding such a contest in Summer would mean better weather (proper northern hemisphere summer I mean, you silly Aussies and Kiwis with your upside down weather! :D) for filming outside, as well as having more free time?

I have to agree, as much as I don't want to wait for you Northern Hemisphere folk to get your act together, the contest woukd feel a bit cheap if it would end like this with so little entries.

For me it wasn't that i wasn't enthusiastic about this contest.
Its just that I don't have access to decent equipment for filming.
Sure there are members who lack interest in it, but i sense there must be others like me who wish they could enter.

Time has been an issue for me and it would take a lot of effort to make a shot worthy. I could simply video a shot, but it wouldn't be anythng special without investing a lot of time to make it great. And for me, in order to take a single shot, I have to drive out two hours into the desert or risk getting arrested and/or fined.

Sweet! Of course it would have looked better close up shot in high speed, but fantastic shot!
