Thanks, I did try google but after researching I didn't realise it was a straight conversion like that.

What is the material to make a 3/4" piston out off?

Anything.

Go to the hardware store, bring some 3/4" pipe and find crap that fits. That's how everyone else figures out how to make pistons.

3/4" brass nipples are smooth on the inside and have an ID close to 1". For a first piston, I recommend casting one out of hot glue inside the nipple you plan to use. Apply vaseline to the inside of the nipple and to a piece of paper, and use that as a mold.

With this setup what fitting would you use to attach the barrel to the rest of the gun. Also with the fire extinguisher do they just screw straight on if you remove the normal valve and use a connector?

depends on the size of barrel and if the barrel is/can be threaded.

you need to unscrew the original fitting take it to a hardware store and check for what fits best then epoxy it in there or get threads cut to fit the a stranded fitting correctly.

Is a fire extinguisher the best option for an air tank on the gun or is there another cheap option that can take a decent pressure?

galvanizes pipe and fittings, co2 tanks, soda stream bottles and of course random pipe and lots of epoxy.

it all really depends on the valve and barre size

It would be attached to a 3/4" female tee. What kind of pressure can the soda stream bottles hold?

The CO2 ones? I believe they're tested to over 2500PSI.

With my air chamber I am having a little trouble as the pressure relief valve is letting out air at about 20 psi. Here's the chamber. I have recently painted it. Would that have any effect?

Also the picture is before the main valve was drilled.
