I doubt I'll want to upgrade, this is more of a "spare car that isn't a car" as opposed to an interest I want to take up seriously.
I won't hold you to that, you'll find the 200 a little lacking once you get your skill up. Perfect for cruising around though.
Even I found that a bit harsh

hehe
Come on, you love it.
Should be coming up for the weekend too, if I were you I'd make sure you have a 5l jerry can filled up, you'll probably need it.

Not in epoxyland though, I'm not thinking of digging my roots too deeply here.

She's sleeping at work for the time being, but I have to admit it's addictive!

200 is a good starter quad. In time weight limit will take it's toll on the suspension so no buss jumping if you want it to last. Control arms bend real easy on these lighter models so careful in the ruts.
$1800 with helmet and bits for a good running clean quad is a good deal anywhere. Have fun!

Yeah, I like the 200-300s myself, taught a few people to ride on them. Was looking at a nice 250 Yamaha for $1600, good nick and serviced.
Might see about getting hold of the semi Honda I like when it gets replaced.

Just as summer was getting fun, some GARGANTUAN set of female genitalia has pinched my baby.

An incompetent obese female specimen rammed your quad? Kill it with fire!
How bad is the damage?

No, it was stolen :-/
Basically the drive chain broke on my way to work yesterday, so I had to abandon it with the intention of towing it today... but I went this morning and it had disappeared.
Got a phone call from the local Polaris dealer in the meantime telling me that someone
very suspicious had come in to buy a drive chain for the same model, the police have been informed and they should have him on CCTV so fingers crossed.

As I pointed out in the first post, the guy is clearly a front bum. I'm not holding my breath that the lead the police have will go anywhere but at least it's something.

Do you work with frame numbers in epoxyland?
I hope the police does their job well, unless completely taken apart it shouldn't be too hard to track..

That seems like some serious shit
Any updates on the event?
Your quad doesn't seem to be too badly damaged, not sure about the front wheels tough..

Nothing yet, nobody's been in touch... I'll check it out with the police later.

I'm hoping that's because it's squished between the police car and the pavement, and not a permanent cant.

Update 2: poor girl

one of the rims is fucked, not sure if the wishbone is also bent but otherwise it seems pretty OK, aside from tampered with ignition wires.
Here's a photo taken, appropriately for a spudgun forum, with a potato:
