I agree. The new layout with a darker colour scheme would be great.

You and 6 other people use the style. Everyone else uses the current style.

SpudFiles 7.0 is much easier on the server, and easier on users with slow connections, which is why I wanna stick to things based off of it.

You can't deny it's a cleaner setup, even if you don't like the colors. Hence my idea in my last post.

If you're talkin to me I said before it is a better setup. But untill you get around to it (changing the color scheme) or you physicaly stop the old style, I would like to continue to use this please.

On the old spudfiles, when you were looking at a post, you could click on the users post count, and you would get a list with the beginning of all their posts, in numerical order. Now you can't do that, and if you click on your own post count on the top of the page (where it says 'You have been a member of spudfiles since *date* and you wrote *** messages ) You get a list of topics you posted in, in some random order (probably alphabetical, I haven't checked)

Is there any chance of it being switched back to the old way so the posts were organised numerically??? I used to use that feature to find topics that were a few days old, it was better than the search function because there are so many topics with the same name.

EDIT: When you go into a users profile and click 'find all posts by ****' it comes up with the list in numerical order. Could you please make it so this list comes up when you click on a users post count, and when you click your own post count at the top of the screen?

If you go to the top of the page, and click on your own post count, you will see all of your posts in order that they were posted starting with your latest post (unless you changed the result order in your search properties at some point).

For example, I see...
"You're administrator of SpudFiles since 18 Aug 2004 and you wrote 747 messages."
When I click on 747, I see all of my posts starting with my newest one.

As far as viewing other peoples posts like that, you still can. On the old style you could never just click under their post count on a post and view them all. You actually have to go to their profile (click their name on a post), then find their post count and click "Find all posts by this user". That's the way 6.0 was setup as well.

Edit - Just read your edit, read my post about the top of the screen for your posts, I'll see about linking peoples post count in their actual posts.

When I click on my own post count at the top of the page, I don't see my actual posts (like you do when you click 'find all posts by ***'), I just get a list of the topics I posted in (oh, and you are right, they are in the order I last posted in them)

I'll have a look in my search prefenences and see it its somthing I stuffed up by accident.

EDIT: I can't find a way to change how my search is displayed (when I click on 'search' I can make my results either posts or topics, but I can't find a way to set this on 'automatic' searches (like when you click on your own posts at the top of the screen)

Is there somthing I'm missing, or is there no such option?????

Yeah, thats the page I wanted, thanks. It would just be handy if that happened when you clicked the post count at the top of the page.
