Yeah, okay, so I’m not the greatest at grammar, but at least I spelled the words right. Spelling and grammar are not my best subjects, I type my posts in Microsoft Word and copy them over here, and as every body knows Word’s grammar check is about as good at grammar as I am… I also have a tendency to hit a key twice, hence “bellow”.
I do my best, to make my post legible.
Also words like sense and since get me confused.

I'm really not trying to harp on you or anything, nor am I trying to make myself sound better or smarter so don't take me the wrong way. It really is just a pet peeve of mine when people say something and do another.

ok yer its old but i forgot to post for a while read S.S.R post for details on why yep batteries then pour into mould and there you go a round lead ball its not that hard or dangerous to do im guessing you dont live in aus because sinkers get costly from the shops if you buy a mould for $5 you just go to the dump n find old batteries for 3 bucks each

just go to a tire shop and get their old wheel weights they take off and melt them down. Be careful melting the plates in a battery. It will give off toxic fumes.

And as for shooting animals, the animals that you intend to hunt should be the animals you intend to eat. Not innocent creatures that you have no reason to kill.

it is not illegal to kill feral animals in real life they are pests and are animals such as feral;cats, cane toads, dogs, ect. and these all exist where they author of this topic live. i am not talking of hunting i am just stating a fact.im not trying to piss you mods and adims off on this one either.

It's something known as cruelty if they are killed in an inhumane way, i.e. being shot with a spudgun or other device not intended for hunting. If they got caught, they could get a hefty fine/prison time depending on the offense. Shooting a deer with a .308 or whatever caliber you use to hunt deer (not a hunting buff here) is humane. Shooting it with a potato isn't.

And I understand that you're not trying to piss us off, but being so close to an issue like this, it really tugs on my nerves.

Drac, nobody was talking about deer hunting, they were talking about hunting small game, cats are small, and pests/varmints.
Now as I’ve explained before, a lot of these home-made arms have more power than most BB/pellet guns, the bigger projectile lending more knockdown force. In other words, its more “humane” to shoot a cat with a marble fired at 600FPS than BB fired at the same velocity. And 600FPS is neither an uncommon nor hard to achieve velocity.

I was told by another modd, BC pneumatics, that it was okay to talk about hunting.

I believe that the reaper rifle has sufficient power to bring down the intended game, I’ve seen pics of some of his kills, they’re nice clean center mass shots, I believe that the crow thing died faster than some of the deer that I’ve seen shot by a .30-06! I call that humane!


As a side note:
Most bows shoot arrows at. I believe, 300FPS. A spud gun could easily shoot an arrow at 600FPS, there for; it’s more “humane” to shoot a deer with a spud gun than a bow.

Also it more “humane” to shoot a deer with a .50-110 than a .308 as the .50-110 is a much more powerful round. But a deer can be taken with a .223.
