Well, that's kind of irrelevant, because the gun that I fired them out of was quite powerful compared to yours.

Well, I rarely ever shoot my small guns, and I've never tried them with ice.

That should be decent. Just remember that ice expands and perhaps put lube into your mold?

k yeah i got the idea when i stuck this piece of metal pipe in the top of my barrel as a choke tube to shoot water and it got stuck so i had to cut part of my barrel off which didnt matter because ggdt said i have too long of a barrel ne ways so it should be a good dart

Using the ice as sabot for the bolt is a good idea, so good luck

Without lubing the mold, it is nearly impossible to get the ice out without waiting for it to melt.
My little guns mostly suck, except the steam gun... but it takes too long to heat up. I will post it when I build a better heat source. I don't really have any "big" guns because the only construction materials available for cannons around here are DWV ABS and galvanised steel.

I use cooking spray, vaseline, car oil, or anal lube (only kidding on the latter option

)
Cooking spray is great because it sprays on, and forms an even layer. It is also heat resistant for molding hotglue, but thats besides the point here.
For ice I doubt you will need much, if any lube though
