Mayan calendar renews for another 13,000 years and there's some galactic alignment which wont have an effect on Earth whatsoever...as far as I'm aware I'll be down at the beach enjoying summer with a few brews reminiscing about the time I lost a beautiful ornamental miniature toy model 6km further down the beach

Well I'm sure there will be an increase in UFO sightings and all that but not anything major. Some say it will be so bad that the hudson valley incident will seem like nothing....
One gentelman once said that in the years around 2012 there weill be rough times for the human kind and he kept saying the human sole is an immortal and eternal life form. I think he was alluding to an ELE around the year 2012 and doing so very carefully because even the people interested in that sorta stuff would be very alarmed and be just like the masses - not ready for the truth.

Actually, blame the greeks. Religion has made a dent, but nothing like what they did to the poor empiricists. They were actually on to something, then they got shut down...
