Wait, how are you planning to convert from green gas to hpa without taping the magazine?

More or less, the modification I have in mind it's quite complex.

Are you planning to tap the mag well and put a hammer valve where the old magazine hammer valve goes? Then run a HPA line to that hammer valve?

Basically. Actually I was going to make a valve myself and incorporate it inside the gun and run the income air through grip.

but then you'd have to deal with the trigger group and all that.

Are you planning to rip out the trigger group and use a new valve and trigger?

About 40% of the new spool holder printed!

Still needing matching piece for the other side and brackets to hold them in place, that's about 6-7 hours of printing...

Had to drill my lathe spindle to mount my 4 jaw chuck. I turned/hogged out the adapter (3" spindle to 4" chuck) and used the bolt pattern for my guide. A 9/32nds deep well socket to keep the holes lined up and a piston ring compressor to hold the rig together. It worked very well! :D

Very nice... that ring compressor looks like a useful bit of kit...

Jrrdw, I am assuming mounting the 4 jaw in the 3 jaw didn't work. Like this:

No, mine are both 4" chucks. This particular chuck is designed to go on the 7X8,10,12 lathes not my 8X12. The 7X series lathes have 3" spindles/chuck flange and the adapter plate is used to step up the bolt pattern to fit the 4" after market chuck here.

You have the 7X10 correct? You should have the 3" set up.

DISCLAIMER: I'm speaking of the Central Machinery built lathes not Seig built lathes that are very very simular.

This is what happens when you machine for folks without cash, they pay you with a ceramic insert for a ballistic vest and a S&W knife

All I can say to that is a good knife is always a keeper, but as far as payment goes.....nope. It don't pay the bills!

Not exactly what I would term a "good" knife... http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/SWCK33 ... inch-Blade

JSR has a knife made by me, probably no store bought knifes are good enough for him :D
