Nice shot!
yes I covered tungsten by copper tubing 6/8mm.
For the tungsten will not fragment on.
The first tip is a tip of arrow arc stainless steel, it is small, 4mm in diameter and 46mm in length.
the black circles, it's tap rubber roller.

For the big stainless steel spike, it is free in the aluminum sabot for that the sabot does not stop the penetration.
Against the IPN, the aluminum skirt had prevented the point passes through ...

I don't think pure tungsten is very hard; look it up on wikipedia. It's only when impurities are added that it becomes brittle. You guys should be using some of the softer stuff, and just making replaceable penetrator tips for it. High-carbon steel rod is fairly cheap, and can be machined well when annealed.

That would have to be fired at point blank range, before it has time to start tumbling significantly.

This stuff isn't hard at all, I can dent it and even snip it with a pair of pliers. Tungsten carbide is or course a better idea.

It almost looks like you got some impact flash, though its quite unlikely. The frame after the one you paused at at the very end of the video should show it.

Wow, some impressive results! Were you worried about ricochets at all? I think I would be too scared to fire tungsten nails in to brake disks if I were holding the gun.

I wouldn't have risked it with the non-carbide projectiles - but some fantastic results!

I did not think that the nail pass through, they are really robust.
Put an envelope on the tungsten is a good idea to exploit ..
I am surprised by the big arc tip, a lot less damage than the profile.
The small arc tip was not broken, it's good, but I'll put more rubber! it burned and I have to clean the barrel now .....

I still have to have a go at making you a mould to cast proper fins and pusher plates, I tried earlier this week but I must not have been paying attention...

I was distracted and didn't measure it out properly.
The mold is in two parts?
I was thinking one part as per the renderings below, this is for the nail (you would need to cut the head off).
The epoxy does not stick on delrin?
If it's smooth, not really - but you would need to help it with a bit of grease.
