Those are Allen wrenches/keys, IMO. Odd that it's a US trademark but they're called hex keys in the States...

They seem to be called Allen keys in Canada although my parents and I came from Britain and perhaps I'm just remembering what they told me as a kid.
Interestingly screwdriver head types use the name of the (presumably) inventor or patent holder. I prefer to call them by the shape. It's hard to remember the name of something when you use it so rarely. Flat, Square and Star.

I normally call them Flathead, Square, Phillips, Poziwhatsits, Star, Allen and "Security" (the Star Torx heads with a little column in the middle that means you need to modify your screwdriver heads).

Actually, I missed one. Allen/hex heads can come with that "pin" in the middle as well.

No point in tampering with it though, it's enough to take you over the legal limit but not enough to make a significant difference to your shooting.

Nothing secure about them.

You can buy a full set of the security heads or any other torx heads at a decent hardware store.

Or if you're in a rush you can weld/solder a twistable bit on

It's not the air that slows it down but the friction between the piston and the syringe tube, it's a very tight fit.

That black disk is a ring of moly grease I used to lubricate the tube, it collected at that point because that's the end of the bolt's travel.

Hey I have tried makin a airgun from those type of trigger systems as well. The problem is the size of the valve in it. I have tried to drill it up once but then it started leaking. I think u should use a different triggersystem to conserver air and to make sure u have higher pressure at hand when needed. Small tubes create lots of drag bc the smaller the tube the higher the flow(law of conservation), the higher the flow the higher the surface drag. I am not sure what the solution could be for this design. But ur new design works out awesome I think.
