Well Sea World sucked because half the stuff was closed, and the shamu(sp?) whale show was 90% bullsh|t, 10% whale.
AMEN!!!! SEA WORLD SUCKS!!!!!!!! The SAME exact thing happened to me!!!! You should have gone to six flags magic mountain instead..... It is SSOSOSOSOSO awesome!!!

But really, the food proportions don't seem large to me... In fact, I think most fast food places are rather stingy myself. I hope you don't think MacDonalds has large proportions...... they get smaller and smaller all the time... I swear, in one year, we will need tweezers to eat their burgers!

You should go to chinatown,,,, its interesting, and there are lots of smoke bombs, noisemakers, and that sort of thing there too. (Not that you can take those with you lol) Are you sure you can get those galv fittings through security???

About the fitness thing,,,, I was pretty sure Washington was the most fit..... :?

It sounds like you're having a good time/shopping spree. IMO most fast food places are crap. You need to find a good privately owned restaurant if you want real food. Anyone around your area can probably point you to a good one.

The last time I went to sea world I was to young to remember. My parents said I was more interested in how my chair was constructed than the whale show.

Oh yeah on this subject I need a valid excuse for a teenager bringing into NZ customs over $300 worth of irrigation supplies. Our bags get screened when we depart, our suitcases not just carry on, so they will pick it up in the x-ray and question me.

So far i've come up with

1) Science project

2) i'm taking the solenoids of the valves to make a door lock, or an alarm system and i'm using the galvanized pipes to replicate a cars brakeing system to demonstrate how most liquids can't be compressed and the pressure is the same on all sides(of the pistons in the brake system)

Well my time here is coming to an end tomorrow just before mid-night California time...What ever that is(PST?) Should arrive in NZ early Friday morning.

I ordered a QEV and some 4" fittings of McMaster yesterday around 3pm and it's arrived in San Fran this morning and is ready for delivery, so I should recieve it in a few hours at the most. I'm really pleased with McMaster, they're fast and reliable yet still have decent prices. I'm probably going to be the only one in NZ with a QEV cannon :P

On the note of QEV's, would a QEV out peform a piston valve in a small diameter gun at lower pressures?(say around 150psi, since that's the rating of the QEV) The gun will be fairly small, shotgun like, with a 1.5" chamber abot 10" long, and the barrel I haven't decided but it will proably be 3/4" dia at the max.

Oh I picked up a bell stirrup pump from Wal*Mart, I know shitty, but I thought may as well, it only goes up to 120psi on the guage but can I pump to a higher pressure?

Ah okay, thought so. So the only reason someone would go piston over QEV is for higher pressures?

A qev should probably out preform a piston of the same size because the "piston" in the qev is very light. The pilot volume should also be smaller.

As to your bicycle pump, you should be able to get it up around 160. The "old" bell pumps could go up to 200psi if you put effort into it, but the ones they've been making in the past couple years are crappy and sometimes leak past 160. At least the ones around here do.

MrCrowley, you still haven't answered my question about MacDonalds...

But um, about the fittings, couldn't you just say that your dad needs them for plumbing back in NZ, and that they are much cheaper here, so you are stocking up? And, make sure that you have absolutely no residue of any kind of explosive (gunpowder or the like) on your luggage. And no pipes/nipples. And make sure you have a couple rolls of teflon tape to support the story. (Bomb makers most certainly wouldn't waste their money on taping threads)

I think an upgraded excuse like that ^ should do the trick!

Yeah I did, its in my post above thats saying how much Seaworld sucks. But yeah, if you are talking about restaurants, well pretty much they serve a lot of food here. If you are going to a restaurant, you are going to get stuffed. But fast food, well, its about average size here. But it depends on the restaurant really. But, most restaurants that are on the nicer side here serve a lot of food. If its not a lot, you are getting ripped off usually. (If the prices are the same)

EDIT:
