okeydokey. I just want a easier source or air pressure because my stirrup pump only takes me to about 80 psi. I want to unlock my pneumatics potential by taking it higher. I cant to that with a regular stirrup pump.

if you really can't find a fridge compressor you can always build a homemade stirrup pump..... use search function... there is a lot of info on that

this is pretty darn useful...how the hell i can get my hands on anything useful in this contry(switzerland) for under 500bucks i dont know but ill definately try, can i pump an old co2 or scuba tank with this? i means just for some target practice in my back yard...

you can go to poland or to czech republic to buy some cheap stuff.. seriously if you have to pay more than 30$ to buy a ball valve it might be a good idea to do so

the stupid ******** will not let me import much...i mean have you ever heard of a place wer you need a special licesnce to import more than 1kg of meat? polska jest much better....do you think i could get the stuff sent to me from poland? if then where should i go call...im in lublin and warsaw alot(atleast 4 times a year sumtimes 10 or more times)

it might be tricky to send them from poland to switzerland.. most shops don't sell stuff abroad...

you can either find a plumbing shop in warsaw or lublin and buy stuff there (it might be difficult to buy a qev using this method) or you can order stuff to some post office by a poste restante ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poste_restante ) and then collect it when you will be in warsaw or lublin...

the thing is that i doubt they will let me just carry it into my contry without some kind of permit. but maybe i can ask some one who knows some one... there isa huge dump 30km away from my house and i bet ill get sum stuf from there.

I finally had time to add an air tank... it's made form 7 meters of 1.5" steel pipe LOL that's high tech isn't it ??

should be relatively safe to use at up to 400 psi
the tank capacity is about 10 L (note that 1.5" is a nominal size of the pipe - the real ID of the pipe is ~ 4.4 cm, not 3.81 cm.... for example a 1/2" pipe has an ID of ~1.4 etc.)

now the funny thing is that it takes 9 minutes to fill it to 100 psi, which is much faster than it should

Ok, how exactly did you fit this 7 meters of pipe inside your house, not to mention attached to your pump? Did you just spiral it, or something?
I have been wanting to make a chamber for my pump, so could you post a pic?

use an old co2 fire extinguisher im using one i charge it up to around 70 bar it holds its pressure relay well

of course I keep it outside... I have several pipes just lying around so I thought - why not to turn one into an air tank...

if you have some as well go for it - it took me 0.5 hour to build it including threading the pipe.. if you don't it might be a better idea to get a CO2 tank or fire extinguisher or an old scuba tank as this is far from being portable


I'll add pics tommorow... not that there is much to show... basically it's just a long pipe with an endcap one one end and several reductions and spare fittings that I had on the other...

it's joined to the compressor by an airline, which is supposed to act as a safety measure - an inexpensive burst disk in case something goes wrong...
