it actually doesn't make a mess at all, every shot just compacts it more, it will last much more than 25 shots as well.

At low pressure, Tech, my gun shoots through plywood!
I need a heavy duty backstop/target.

My marshmallow cannon with a golf ball barrel is able to punch holes in plywood. Punching holes in plywood with a 1 inch valve and less than 100 PSI is quite possible. To do the wheelbarrow lob, I had to use a low pressure regulator.

Thanks dude, haven't done a lot of shooting lately with it, I am procrastinating on finishing my bolt action mag fed loading barrel, but I'm in Arizona now so I have an excuse

very nice for a first piston valve.
i put a golf ball barrel on my 3/4 inch piston valve, i shot it at a box of sand it went about 15cm deep, it was at 250 psi. next time i go to my uncles farm to test distance.

Aww,
how come nobody told me that?
This is a very nice launcher Gun Freak. I wasn't very familiar with your work, but I stumbled across this thread, and I'm impressed. The design and construction are great, and the damage vids are entertaining. Keep it up.
Haha like the link, sorry it took long for the reply but this thread wasn't on the new messages list for me. Thanks for the kind words.

Update, I've been shooting at the lake lately. It is fun to skip across the water

Anyway, this is the first time I have been able to test the range. At about 40 psi it shot 300 yards and at a high 90 psi it shot 450 yards. I have yet to range test it at 120 psi. It is probably up in the 500 yard range though. I have a video I will be uploading tomorrow hopefully of a couple shots at the lake. I could see the splash at the landing, the hang time was about 7 seconds

How about that for an idea. How many skims were you getting.
P.s it reminds me of this

I have access to a 600 yard freshly harvested field on Saturday for some range testing. We can compare notes.

Careful about shooting directly at the water, projectiles will ricochet off the surface to a surprising extent and in an unpredictable manner.

I don't typically skim it across but when I do it isn't directly at the water, so I will be fine

Today I will get a new video of a distance shot and a skim shot, so watch this space. @tech, I'll take you up on that as soon as I get my new bike pump and upgrade the chamber and barrel

As soon as I can get to Home Depot it will be ready for mobile firing, more so than now.
The farm

This is a Google view of the farm. I'll try to miss the big barn on the other side of the street with the golf ball shots. I want to run a range vs pressure graph. I have never found a golf ball when shot at 100 PSI. Working up to 100 PSI, maybe my luck will change in this recently harvested field.
This gives me 1/2 mile between the farmhouse and the road. I don't think I can shoot over 1/2 mile.

That is an awsome range! Yeah, you're not gonna get a half mile with a gold ball, but you might get like 700-800 yards. I wouldn't be supprised with that beast of yours, its the big one with the flames right? I'm gonna go try to get some footage now... it is gonna be fun!
