It is possible that there is some accuracy loss, but then again full auto is spray and pray, as always.

Can't be much distraction, I can hit fairly good with it.

Fascinating, that cam mechanism is ingenious in its simplicity :)

It's also interesting to see the effect of multiple rounds on the pot, battering it into submission :D

The new gatling slingshot is certainly a step up from the one you originally shared with us!

How did you get audio in the slow mo clips?

Good question, slomo cams usually record no audio. Mine doesn't either.

Took the audio from the real time camera and stretched it to length (40 times slower), then positoned it just right. Aaah, the power of a good editing system!

Slinghshots are powerful weapons. But there is a limit to their destructional capabilities, as the speed of rubber is limited - and so is the speed of the ammo. One can use heavier ammo to achieve more energy. But there is a limit to that, too - if the ammo gets too big, it won't penetrate, just smash. Heavy ammo is expensive, too.

A big steel ball like the 20 mm (.79") is pretty much the maximum size ammo that makes sense. The ones used in this video will crash though wooden boards, watermelons, even coconuts. But imagine what a simultaneous impact of six of them can cause!

The Slingshot Channel presents "The Avalaunche" - the first slingshot crossbow that shoots six rounds at the same time. One trigger pull and all six are on their way to the target.

The weapon is big and has an enormous draw length. This means the six balls hit with about 60 Joules each. Enough power to demolish several objects! As always the video contains slow motions recorded at 40x realtime (1200 fps).

Enjoy!

Hey Joerg, This latest Slingshot Rifle of yours made it onto Gizmodo:

http://gizmodo.com/#!5799915/this-sling ... same-time/

I've always liked your slingshot designs; I'm quite the slingshot enthusiast myself; Have been for years! I just thought I'd share the link; Pretty impressive that Gizmodo took notice :D

Sorry if the link is sketchy, the URL tag doesn't like it for sone reson, and a space keeps appearing between the "c" and "a" in the word "can" in the url when I try to post it. if so, just copy and paste into your browser.

Yea, I tried. It's like it adds spaces to the URL when I try to post it for some reason. That other tag is for doing a named link.

{url=whatever the url is}link title{/url}

Tried it, still didn't work, but the URL I gave is still valid, just copy and paste until I can get that link to appear properly.

Thanks anyway, man. If a mod sees this, maybe they can fix the link.

In impressive, Joerg. Your "contraction of rubber limits" comment leads me to believe you might be pursuing other methods of propulsion?

Well, there isn't much left, as I do not have a gunmaker's license. I would love to make firearms and I do have some great ideas, but even something as simple as a pneumatic potato launcher is a no-no here in Germany.

I am too old to learn that trade, it takes six to ten years to obtain that license. So rubber it is, for now.
