On the topic of homemade spudgun devices...Do you think it would be a good idea to have a showcase section for such items?
Like a few people have made electrolysis machines, high pressure pumps, trebuchet's etc, I think we should have a showcase section for either:

1)'Spudgun related devices'(homemade pumps etc)
2)'Non-Spudgun related devices'(RC planes that you've made, motorbikes/scooters you've made etc)

The problem with the second one is you'll have a mix of non-spudgun related stuff and useful spudgun stuff like pumps and compressors.

What do you guys think?

You are making it overly complex near the bottom. Find a way of building a tiny check valve attached to the gun rather than a commercial check valve in the pump.

That will however increase the dead space and limit the maximum pressure you could achieve.

Also, be sure not to leave a lot of dead space between the check valve and where the piston bottoms out. Too much will limit the pressures you can get.

What? There is no dead space at all. The piston of the pump actually touches the tiny check valve at the bottom of the pump stroke. Trust me. I made it specifically to eliminate dead space. It is exactly like the girandoni pump which also threads directly to the cylinder.

The dead space comments were made because it was assumed you wanted to put a check valve at the filling point of this design leaving the piping in between the bottom of the piston stroke and the check valve as dead space.

No, the intake valve is past the pump piston, output is directly from the end of the pump past the check valve of the gun. It is easier to eliminate the hose and schrader attachment.
