Mechanical Airsoft Grenade Launcher

Hey everyone,
I am trying to create a homemade version of this:

But, I need help making the Cylinder (where the grenade shells go) spin by it-self.
If anyone has any ideas on how to make the cylinder spin, please post!!!

Some kind of wound up torsion spring? and have it set up so as to when you pull the trigger it releses a catch and the chambers revolve and the trigger mechanism catches the next slot and stops the spinning motion. the only problem i see with this is that you would have to wind it up again every time the spring became unwound.

I think that is actually what it is.

Yeah, but that probably uses some kind of extremely complicated device, you could probably think of a way to make a simplified version, but the hard part would be making the catch system.

do you happen to have the "grenades" for it already? because those things are like $50 a piece at bare minimum and they run off green gas (which is just overpriced propane). or are you going to make some of your own design?

I know a guy who is an importer/exporter for Madbullairsoft.com and he can get me a huge discount... It helps knowing people .
And besides, I usually buy used airsoft "accessories". I could find them for around $10 a nade...

But then again... could buy one, and dissect it, and make my own... 8)

You could build a small piston that would cycle each time the trigger is pulled, similar to Tippmann's A5 cyclone feed system. It may be complicated but it would work.

Well, I am trying to make it so it doesn't need to be pneumatic, or electric.

I'm currently designing something kind of like this but it will run off of a piston from the chamber, like hubb suggested. The design of a colt revolver (like posted in the link above) is actually pretty darn simple; however, you'd probably have to actuate it with something other than the trigger pull, because if you used colt's design on something blown up to that size, your trigger pull would be massive - a couple inches, I would think. What about a pump-action revolver? I had considered making one of these myself, for the same purpose, but then realized that a simple piston could take place of the pump fairly easily, if designed right.

I might just do the torsion spring idea. If it doesn't work, I will spin the chamber manually..
