Pneumatic Actuated MAg. -(Fast shooting pellet gun)

hi all,

Came up with this idea at school today in maths and wondered what you thought. It features pneumatic actuation of the shells in the mag instead of spring loaded.

Once the screw valve is turned the first round goes and then the Shooter presses the blowgun trigger and the shells fly straight up and out but while they pass through the jet stream the pellet at the front of the shell is shot out and the spent cartridge flies off.

Any thoughts or comments.

Will probably start getting materials this weekend.

Edit-The shells are just pieces of pipe that math the diameter of the barrel.

It should work, assuming you feed the cartridges in slowly enough. As to how much power you'd get, I'm guessing now much, because even if built to tight tolernaces the air losses are going to be considerable.

well seeing as im along way off the price of a compressor i was going to make a 3 shot prototype this weekend out of spare parts. but it will be using chambers.I will also try and calibrate it so that one trigger controls both and they go instantaneously.

Not to put you off but I wouldn't think about attempting something like this without a compressor, especially considering your valve gives a constant flow of air.

yeh i just thought that straight after i posted that last post. I will just ry and save up for a 99 dollar compressor.
