I havea 2 inch T connector that i need to have a piece of 2" pipe Slide through Freely with out to much play. I have a few 3"-2" reducers i have dremeled out that allow this. but there is way to much material to dremel the T connector... not to mention i can even get my dremel all the way inside

any suggestions?

are you building a piston valve. because you don't need it to go all the way through. 3-5 inches should be enough room for the piston.

So you're trying to dremel away the 'lip' inside most tee's?
If that's your case then you need to get a 65mm hole saw bit and just drill through it, though they can be quite expensive at the size, try borrowing one.

A new, large, quality, coarse, half-round file. The largest rounding radius you can get, as long as it is smaller than the radius of the pipe / tee. Get it in a professional tool shop, and get one of those with a separate handle. Cheaper and better than the consumer rubbish from Home Depot and the like.

Put painter´s tape over the glue-on sockets at the ends of the tee to protect them, and to give you an indication when you have filed off enough.

a friend of mine came up with this idea...

we gota 1.5 inch piece of PVC some thin foam. and some 40 grit sandpaper.

We put a cap on the end of the pipe. attached a Nut and a bolt. Put a nut driver on the drill..

Wrapped the PVC witht he foam then WRapped the sand paper with the direction of the drill...

Works like a charm.
