hey im trying to find a good place to get sch 80 4 inch pipe. obviously my home depot and lowes dosnt have it and i know about mcmaster but is there anywhere else?

and also has anyone bought 4 inch sch 80 pipe from mcmaster an used it for a hybrid?

I have used it in a hybrid.
its only good for under 4x.
I got it from a local pipe supplier.

well i was wanting to use it in a new gun im building (pneumatic) id prolly take it up to 150 psi but i was wondering if the pipe would be ok after i got it. like if they dropped in during shipping or something.

I would check it for damage(hairline cracks)

and 4" sch 80 is pretty strong stuff

I have a coaxial ( the one in my pic ) which uses 4" but its sch40, I take it to 100psi alot and it works fine

ok well i am going to order a 5 ft piece of sch 80 from mcmaster sometime and i was just worried about it getting dropped during shipping or something.

The packaging should suffice as protection.

but dosn't sch 40 pvc usually are pressure rated at around 300-330psi range? I know basically all my pvc does, but Its probably different at your hardware store.

my sch 40 is in the 300-330 psi range and thats all i've ever seen exept cell core.

2" sch 40 usually is rated around 280 psi.
4" is alot less, especially in sch-40

The 2" sch 40 pvc pipe i get is rated to 220 psi, and so is the 4" sch 40 pvc.

hmm.
Interesting, usually the larger daimeters have lower ratings.
maybe I am thinking about 1.5" sch-40
