PVC Grease/lubricant?

I put this in the pneumatic section because most people use grease of some sort to lubricate their piston valve. Which type of grease do you use and what is most safe on pvc?

I use white lithium grease, it doesn't eat away your pvc or o-rings. You can get it at O' Reilly Autoparts for about $4.

good, old wd-40 works for me, especially for lubricating blow gun valves by just unscrewing it and putting some on and then putting it back together

Silicone based ones are good then there's also the water based ones

What would be a safe lube to use on poly pipe? Im trying to finish my piston off and need to lube it.

White lithium grease is the best as c19o mentioned. Its thick, works great and doesn't degrade plastics.

Lithium grease all the way,it's pretty cheap when you buy a large container of it and it lasts for what seems forever.

what I use ?
silicon based (spark plug boot lube) grease .
Its made to not attack rubber compounds ,is slicker than snot ,couple of bucks at the auto parts store
i use it on my airguns and some firearms because it also stays at the same thickness or viscosity . doesn't thicken in cold or thin in heat.

pipe lube (do a Google search)
made for ,tested and approved for use on pipes and gaskets.
It's water based and will eventually dry,
their claim of it being tasteless is not true
for what its worth,
plumbing fixtures come with a little packet of plain petroleum jelly for lube

On the more questionable side you can use lubes like KY Jelly, personally I use moly grease.

I belive mineral oil or air compresor oil are designed for lubricating stuff with rubber seals so it should work great

I dont know what you use your lube for......midnight snack?their claim of it being tasteless is not true Shocked
hahahah jkId agree with the drying up and if you got it dirty it would clog up with grit
