This is another cannon I build around the same time as the BAAC, it uses an electric sprinkler valve and two push-button switches to trigger it. The barrel is 1/2" pvc, and with a piece of wooden wadding this gun shoots arrows quite well (as in through a hay bale and the 3/4" plywood behind it). The best thing about a gun with such a small diameter barrel is its portability, it weighs almost nothing and I can pump it past 100psi with a bike pump in less then 30 seconds.

Very nice, though I would suggest
modding the sprinkler valve for better performance, as well as saving expensive batteries.

ahh i do remeber this picture he sent to me in a email. It would have better performance with an easy sprinkler mod but i do like the 2 putton actuation only for saftey reasons. You also need to post your new BAAC cannon that you made, i saw the video and it is quite nice. But besides modding the valve everything else is fine. What is that brand of sprinkler valve you have there?

My first sprinkler valve cannon was SO close to that in design. Aren't arrows the best projectiles ever? They are so light they go so fast. Um , yeah mod the valve theres like 3 stickys in the pneumatic section so check them out. Otherwise freaking amazing aesthetics. Looks great and looks very comfortable to fire.

This gun uses a Toro brand valve. A friend of mine wants to take it deer hunting. My next gun is going to be very similar to this one, but it will use an old wooden rifle stock- so it will be very natural aiming and shooting it.

Sweet! Post damage pics!
By the way, how do you shoot arrows? Do you use a sabot?

Nice. Did you just roll the vanes on the arrow over or take them off to fit in the 1/2" barrel? Reminds me of my last gun, found a barrel that had the same ID as the broadhead blades and cut the fins to the same so it kept the arrow centered and only needed wadding rather than a sabot. Next project - hpa powered bolt action silenced sniper firing saboted shortened arrows

I take a 6" long piece of 1/2" pvc and slide it from the tip of the arrow back to the fins, this holds them down, then I put the 6" piece up against my barrel and slide the arrow back and the fins slide into the barrel with no problems.

Good just make sure if you talk about deer hunting, dont talk about it on this website because we are not allowed to talk about shooting animals or humans with our creations

I want to go hunting.....

To keep the fins back, just twist the arrow as you push it in, it works great.
@Likimyscrotchus: Yeah I'm working(well, designing at the moment) on a gun just for that same purpose.
EDIT: Oh my god I have failed as an archer. Please disregard that I said 'fins' instead of 'vanes'.

Honestly, I believe the rule was intended for things such as animal torture, not so much in reference to hunting. I.E. Shooting a dog with a potato launcher, versus going duck hunting with it, though it would have to be checked with PCGuy to be sure...
