Hi

I have recently purchased a piezo style bbq lighter, however it is the kind with only one wire coming from the main lighter body. Could somebody please tell me step by step how to install this ignition into my potatonator??

cheers

Is there a wire or piece of metal along the side of it? If so thats the other "wire" or electrode.

Yeah there is, I was wondering if that was it. So should I connect a wire to that bit aswell, then connect each to a screw and have the spark jump across?? I need help,

cheers

I tried it, but the 2nd electrode thing got pulled out completely, and I can only get the spark to jump across about a finger width. What am I doing wrong (i think ill need a bigger spark)??

cheers

Finger width is plenty big for a spark.

"Finger width" is really good for your typical BBQ piezo.

Really don't need that much, 1/8" is fine. Heck, 1/16" works fine to.
