I recently bought a sh*t ton of saddle tees to use as barrel supports for two more tennis ball guns I will be making. I ended up with a couple extra, so I decided to incorporate one in a simple pneumatic with the sprinkler valve I recently modified.

Specs:

Chamber: 18" x 2" sch40 PVC
Barrel: 36" x 1" sch40 PVC
Valve: Modified 1" Orbit WaterMaster
Pilot Valve: 1/4" ball valve
Fill valve: 1/8" brass schrader

Total cost was around $25. (10 for pipe, 10 for sprinkler, 5 for ball valve)

More pics and possibly damage shots tomorrow... glue is still drying. But it's getting cold so I can't do much with my PVC guns. Shame, winter is my favorite time to build things!

Did you use clear primer/glue?

yea nice gun i dont understand how you hold it though. and i love te use of a ball valve you dont see that to much

whats are the hose clamps for? they seem a little bit useless to me. also, why does it have that funny trigger guard? its clean and thats what counts.

The "trigger guard" is actually a handle. And I wanted it to be removable, hence the hose clamps. It's actually quite ergonomic this way. The ball valve makes a good trigger.

Nice stuff, very clean. I really love your guns because no matter what they're always clean and you make white PVC look great, which is no easy feat. :P

how does everyone on here get their sprinklers for $10, mine cost 20 and was only 3/4"

First of all, do you live in America?
Do you buy them from Home Depot?

When I was in America the prices were similar everywhere I went, Las Vegas was the cheapest with $11 and San Fran was the most expensive with $13 for a 1" valve.

I get my sprinkler valves in America at Home Depot about $12 for a 3/4". Pretty cheap compared to what some people get em at.

thats a nice looking cannon.

are those pipe saddles useful? i might have a use for them

and if you wanna use a cannon in the winter, use it as an excuse to make something high pressure............. and full metal.

I'm having a lot of problems with the sprinkler valve. Turns out the diaphragm is defective. The sealing face is smaller than the "ring" inside that it should be sealing against. So now I have to grind down the ring.

Got the valve to work.

Man this thing is fun. The handle configuration is perfect for shots with heavy recoil. (water)
