Basic Cannon for a Musical

A couple weeks ago I was hired to build a cannon for someone for use in a musical. It is going to shoot foam props across the stage, so I didn't go too fancy, and i was also on a budget. It is just a basic sprinkler cannon with a 1/4" threaded schrader and brass drain valve, and painted with krylon fusion spray paint.

ive built a few sprinkler valve guns. how much did that one end up costing (including paint)? the reason i ask is because mine always end up costing more than i expect, maybe because there is so many cool things at home depot that i have to have.

@homedepotpro:
Including paint, this gun cost $55.00. And i know what you mean with buying all the interesting things.
@maniac:
I was asked to paint it those colors, something to do with matching the actors outfits, I wasnt told much about it.
Thanks for all the compliments!

great paint job, is the barrel interchangeable or glued in, I can't tell if you've got threads in there with the paint job

Looks very clean. i hope your not planning on holding it by the blowgun though. It would need reinforcement to avoid failures.

The barrel is interchangeable, I just painted it after I threaded it in. Also the gun is going to be mounted so it should be ok.

Very nice. Although this may be a bit off topic, would you mind telling us more specifically what it is being used for? You told us it is a musical and used for launching foam props, but could you provide more specifics like what play it is and the function of launching these foam objects? I can't imagine something like this happening short of it being really ridiculous looking.
