I'm pretty sure that you can, I did it with my ten gallon air tank, but you have to unscrew it at the fitting where the hose attaches to the tank, the pressure gauge, and the pop-off valve. (you leave all those, you just take the hose off at that end, and replace it with another hose). Or you could cut the hose and put in a hose barb and hose clamp.

Oh i see is it hard to unscrew? Oh and what brand do you have? how long dus it take you to fill.

I have almost the exact same air tank and thats what I did, I put a regulator and a quick disconnect on it. Its not too hard to unscrew all you need is a wrench.

umm why not just...slice off the last end of the hose, get a hose barb that'll fit. get bushings to 1/4" then attach a 1/4" quick?

Why would you do that if you can just screw in a 1/4" QD anyway?

Edit: Yes 100 posts!!!! :D  :D

umm if you just had a qd, you have no hose. and you would need to get another section of hose with male qc on them.

i am curious as to what psi you operate your cannon at, and how many shots do you expect to get out off that tank?

is this tank going to be some kind of volume chamber? if the tank is pumped to 100 psi, when you go to charge your gun wouldn't the tank and gun just equalize out to 50 psi?

Well, it's a ten gallon tank and my compressor is a small one gallon oilless compressor, so it takes a good fifteen minutes to fill the tank to 100 psi, but in my opinion it's worth it. The brand is task force, from Lowes. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=p ... lpage=none[/url]

I'll try to get a pic up for you as soon as I can, and I do have a hose attached to the compressor w/ a ball valve and quick disconnect to connect to cannon.
