Hey guys I was just thinking , well burst disk uses unions right, the purpose of the union is to clamp the bursting material in place right? well what if you just used a threaded fitting put the burst disk material and screw the threaded fitting into a threaded tee or somthing? would that have as good a flow as a union?

The flow would be almost as good, but it would severely limit your choice of disks, since threaded fittings tend to chew up aluminum foil and other common burst diaphragm materials.

But then if i put plastic before the aluminum so it chews less on the foil.
