Sorry about the last post. I was in a hurry and did a horrible job. What I meant ( to clarify any thoughts) was if i could use interchangeable barrels on a pneumatic potato gun. I have interchangeable barrels on my combustion potato gun and was just wondering if the compressed air verse explosion would make a difference. I think i got the just of it now but if you have any comments or ideas please help me out.
thx

Nope, interchangeable barrels are fine, it may change the B:C Ratio, but if you want to launch larger, or smaller things with a sabot, then go for it.

Why is this in website discussion?

Smells like you're not using pressure rated pipe.

If the pipe says it's pressure rated to XXXPSI then it's rated to that pressure. Chances are you wont use it at that pressure but lower, same goes with pipe fittings, so there is no reason it can't handle air pressure over 'explosion' pressure.

Just make sure you are using pressure rated pipe, and don't ask me how do you tell if it's rated because i'll spend half the day explaining all the types of pipe when I've made many posts that explain it already. Just search.

Interchangeable barrels are fine, like they said, just make sure you have a way to secure them so they don't go flying off.

you should build everything to the size of your largest barrel, you will not have a loss of power changing from bigger barrel to smaller barrel.
