Its not too bad, when I was still building it, just for the fun of it, I loaded a hacky sack without an air seal into a 10' section of pipe. With a slightly elevated barrel, that hacky sack reached a good 400 or so feet. It gets better distances with heavier projectiles and my projectile air seals.

Looks nice, good paintjob and construction. A mortar-like stand would a cool addition

Thanks, the reason I did not put a stand on it is for better portability. As it is, there is not stand to get in the way when carrying it into battle, can be held and fired easily, when using as a morter and the back section can sit on the ground and elevation controlled my holding the barrel. In my opinion, a stand would limit its mobility on the field.

I might make a stand for it later for use a larger games as a fixed morter but for now, it won't have one.

i like it. Even though its for paintball and nerf could we see some damage pics. it sounds pretty powerful for a mortar.

What would be a good size of a barrel to put on it and what kind of projectile for some good damage pictures.

A long 3/4" barrel for marbles should yield some impressive velocities and penetration ;)

I like it, although it looks like it may be a little heavy at times (during games and such). I can't tell, but is that a drop forward on the launcher? If so, nice touch.

What pressure are you running it at?

A little heavy but not too bad. For me, its not too much more considering my normal load into a game is about 50lbs.

Its not a drop forward but 2 universal ASA bolted together (locking nuts holding them apart). I would have like to have used a drop forward but the drop was not enough to use the larger 20oz Co2 tanks.

Depending on the temperature outside, it operates between 400 and 800 PSI. Even if its a hot day, for the size of the expansion chamber, its chilled when filled and the average shot is fired at 600 PSI.
