1. I want to use some valve that would vent the pilot side and block the air inlet into the pilot side ( from compressor/CO 2 tank whatever ).... Are there any other valves apart from a 3way valve and a sleeve valve that can do that ?

2. Which one is likely to withstand higher pressure, a 1/4" sleeve valve rated to 10 bar (140 psi) or a 3way valve rated to 10 bar ?

Not really, because any valve that could do that would be a 3-way valve by definition(including a sleeve valve).

As for the pressure question it depends on what kind of 3-way valve, there are tons of different kinds.

They do make a sleeve valve that is made for use with unregulated CO2, but it is only 1/8"

ok clide by saying a 3 way valve I just meant this type of valves ( picture ) are they called spool valves in english?

I need something that can work well up to 25 - 28 bar ( 350 - 400 psi), which would be better a 1/4" sleeve valve or a 1/4 " 3 way valve/spool valve ?

Well, I wouldn't suggest using any part over its rating (especially almost 3x the rating), but if you are going to do it regardless then I would guess that a sleeve valve would probably be more robust.

thx... that quite suprised me... I expected just the opposite...

But i hope more people would see this and possibly there are some high pressure rated spool valves/3 way valves that they know about.... so any coments are welcomed

They have high PRessure 3 way solenoids but... they are going to be like $500

McMaster has slide valves rated to 230 psi.
It says that " when closed it vents pressure to atmosphere". Does this mean it vents both sides, or just one, ie. pilot side?

Of course, you could just make a slide valve like clide's.

it means AFAIK that it vents only the pilot side while closing the other.... this makes actually sense when used on QEV spudguns

It vents pilotside.

It's intended for manually activating a pneumatic system then when you want it off you pull the sleeve back, the supply is shut off and the pneumatic system has its air vented.

you can get slide check valves that are rated to 2k psi from any paintball shop or online for about 12 to 15$. we use the in paintball to disconnect air tanks without loosing a lot of air.
