Hi fellow Spudfile members,

Here is my newest addition to my collection of pneumatic guns (2nd actually excluding my pneumatic bb guns) It is a very simple gun, and was mainly made out of spare parts, all I had to buy was the barrel, 2" End Cap, 2x 3/4" elbows and that's it.

Its basically a under over design, it features a 40mm barrel, 50mm chamber, detachable stock and some other bits and pieces.

Chamber: 2" and 20cm Long
Barrel: 40mm and 50cm Long
Valve: ¾” Ball Valve
Fill point: Rubber pop in shrader valve
Stock: 3/4" (air does not go into stock)

Main Ammo is Ping Pong Balls/Table tennis balls whatever you want to call them, they can be filled with water, and/or frozen, can be filled with flour, paint, airsoft bb’s etc what ever you want to put in them

All fittings are PN18 and all of the pipe is PN12 (except for barrel, PN18)

I Know I could have made the barrel longer, but I wanted this to be small and portable, and I like it the way it is at the moment.

Will hopefully post videos when glue is dry and I find some charged up batteries for my camera

haha what a beast thats pretty kool i know its only a spare parts gun but put on a sprinkler valve and she'll be right, i like the stock

thats perty cool. i like how you can take the stock off. are you going to paint it?

I would change the plastic ties to hose clamps, as they are metal and much stronger.

I paint job would look cool, but not neccessary

Power could definitely be upped with a sprinkler and longer barrel, but if you're shooting ping pong balls it becomes pointless when you can't see them or they dent on impact, making them unusable.

Overall a very nice simple gun

what is the diameter in inches(the barrel)

I'm assuming this was just one of those single afternoon projects. Those are fun, little inexpensive morale boost.

That's a first, a barrel with a higher pressure rating that the chamber seems like a bit of a waste really, but nice fun project.

i like this gun.....dont know why just something about how it looks makes feel the happy.

Thats how most cannons are JSR.Think about it, most people have barrels that are of smaller diameter than their chamber

Fair comment, the same probably goes for my 6mm minis with brass barrels and PVC chambers.

ha thanks for al the comments guys, the cable ties are just there for exra strenght as the tee is glued on also, yeah it pretty much was just one of those afternoon projects, i'm just wnderng what pressure i can bumbp this thing up to? Nah i Dunno i i'll paint i, if i have sme leftover after i finish rebuildng my other gun and painting that then yeah i might. oooh btw i just copyied the "All fittings are PN18 and all of the pipe is PN12 (except for barrel, PN18)" from my old gun topic, so i needa change that also, well i'm fair sure te barrel isnt PN18, i'll have to check.

It has a simple design and does look comfortable to shoot. I like it all except for the ball valve.

Yeah thats the only bummer about it, i might put my old sprinkler valve and blowgun on there as i'm planning n getting a new valve and blowgun (my blue one leaks at 80PSI, dads taking me to some industrial hardware store to buy one that can take around 120psi ) But i'd have to make the sprinklervalve after the ball valve (glued in) and then i could just use it as a safety valve, and plus im planning on removing the stock and attaching it to my rifle, so ill have 2 guns in one

The only concern with placing the sprinkler valve in the current configuration is not being able to do so. It seems that the elbow is flush with the ball valve, which means you have no room to add any additional fittings in between the two.
