Breech Loading Question

As I'm building my cannon. ( 16' of 4" chamber with 20' of 2" barrel, with a triggered burst valve) I was wondering if by building a breech on the barrel, if that would create a weak spot that could then fail catastrophically? Any ideas, comments, and questions are all welcome!

if it has a triggered burst disk, presumably you have to take the barrel apart to replace the disks, and if so why bother with a separate breech loading mechanism?

Thats a good point. What would you recommend i do because the 20' 2" barrel is in the way. so how would you recommend me easily accessing the disk to replace it? this is the only thing keeping me from finally building it....

Get some 2 inch couplers and grind out the rings in them. Then have you barrel float in them and mount the rings to a frame or you chamber if its an over under.
