I have been plagued with a sprinkler that leaks out of the barrel for about a month. I saw someone post that you can remove the white perforated plastic on top of the diaphragm. I did this and then plugged the hole with epoxy, and damn... It worked. So if this had been in the sprinkler troubleshooting it would have saved me a lot of time. thanks.

Yeah, the hole under the white piece.
I don't know about this holes function but when I tested it it the valve worked without it open. There is another hole in diaphragm, It is in the rubber around the outside of the big plastic piece in the middle.

EDIT, I just shot the gun for the first time, fun as heck!

There shouldn't have been a hole in the center. If you had to cut that white part off to get it to work then that white thing must have been interfering with whatever you did to modify it.

It is common sense, but I suppose it would be worth adding to the troubleshooting guide... Make sure your modification does not interfere with diaphragm movement.

No, I left left the white stick thing on, I just plugged the little hole in the middle, it goes all the way through the diaphragm.

I can't tell for sure because of the angle but it looks like the white thing has been cut, if it hasn't then you got a defective diaphragm.

Its close to the same Orbit valve I have, same diaphragm, its been sanded down.
