3/4 inch piston

what is the best material to make a 3/4 inch piston I tried useing 3/4 inch dowel but it cept cracking.

Do you have a bumper? The inertia that the piston has when it hits the back of your valve is considerable. You need something to cushion this impact.

Have you thought about using epoxy to make your piston?

Yes I have a bumper I have thought of using epoxy as a piston but I would like somthing lighter.

I just dremel down 1/2in pvc to fit and then fill it with hot glue but it isnt easy to dremel it down perfectly itll take some practice but 1/2in pvc is cheap as hell so you dont have to worrie about emptying your wallet on many attempts until you get it right.

my epoxy piston is actually lighter than my original oak dowel piston. and it fits in the tee perfectly. it is such a good fit that i had to make my pilot volume larger, everytime i took the air chuck off the shrader the gun would fire

plus a 3/4" piston only has to move 3/16". it not like your moving a ton of weight over a long distance.
