Idea for base for stirrup pump

Hi,
I don´t know if you have already seen this. I found a gadget that could be perfect as a foot for home made stirrup pumps.
See picture.
It´s walled a Wandwinkel here (wall angle). It´s 3/4" both ports. The 3/4 to 3/8 adapter could contain a home made check valve, made of air components.
One could drill or file out the threads in the top port and get a 25mm pipe into it. With a wall thickness of, say, 2 mm it would have a piston area of 3.46 cm^2 -- that if, a pressure of 12 bar would require a 41 kilogram force - quite ok I think.
