ï'm making a gun of copper and I was wondering what would happen if I put too much pressure on it (it's soldered)
would it explode with a bang or would an elbow fly of or just start to leak a lot?
i'm don't use a compressor so it might be impossible to put too much pressure.?

If you are using a pump I highly doubt you could break a soldering job. If you're soldering is good, I heard the number somewhere but it will definantly hold to over 500 PSI. If its not good, but doesn't already leak, then an elbow will probably blow. For it not to blow it must be leaky at lower pressures.

The strength of a PROPERLY done solder joint still has variables.

using 50-50 / lead - tin, joints up to 1" are rated @ 200psi

using 95-5 / Tin - Antimony, joints up to 1" are rated @ 1090psi

ok thanx I thought it would be too high to pump but still I was curious.
i'm using 50-50 tin-lead but I don't use high pressure (now not more then 6 bar later more)
