hi all,

i have a 24v solenoid that i want to be activated by a 12v battery and various other electrics. My question is, is there a way to convert 12v to 24v easily?

yes my friend.. but it takes to 12 volt batterys and you connect it
+ on battery a to - on battery B then - on battery a to whatever your wanting to power 24 volts.. and + on battery B to what ever you want to be 24 volts.. just remember though.. your batterys (2) will only last as long as (1) when connected this way.

Get two 12V batteries and put them together.
If you want to transform it otherwise you will need an oscilator to make it AC, transform, and make it DC again.

Technically it should still work with 12 volts, just not as effectively.

Oh I know this one. There is a ciruit designed to double voltage. This one that I found specifically doubles 12VDC to 24VDC.

And if you dont want to make your own transformer (I don't blame ya) Here's another circuit that works.

And if you don't want to make a circuit at all, just buy this.

ok ill get ma situation on paper so to speak, i have an old rc truggy reciever board that was oringinally used with 12v, my solenoid is 24 volts so i need the output of the bourd (12v) to be 24.

thats why i cant run 24v straight.

OR someone sends me a 12v solenoid from the u s of a cauz we only have 24v ones here.

Use a Relay...

That is what they are designed for.
