Using different types of metals as chambers

G'day,
I was down at my local hardware looking for some 25mm Copper pipe that I could use as my chamber for my gun. Just my luck, they had none at all. I was wondering through the shower section and saw some Chrome plated tube shower towel rails. They were 25mm NB and fitted perfectly into a 25mm Copper fitting. I looked down the guts of the pipe and something really worried me.... I saw a seam line.
This pipe would have been perfect because it was just the right length, the right size and cheap! But I'm not sure on to what pressure it would blow out at due to the seem.
It was called "chrome plated tube" and the walls on it seemed to be not quite as thick as copper... Does anyone have an idea on what this stuff would be like? Anyone tried?
