sniper cannon update

I managed to test fire my sniper cannon this weekend and it works great!!! The ammo is wire nuts with nails epoxyed in them. The target is a steel lid from a 50 gallon drum. I fired from about 40 feet away. I used 110 psi with good results..I also changed the air chamber from a 2" pipe 12" long to a 1" pipe 8" long. I thought I could reuse the dart ammo but the impact shattered the wire nut. The dart went through the steel like it was tin foil, and that was only at 110 psi 40 feet away.

Yeah, I would have to say that this gun is very comfortable. Its very balanced. The center of gravity is about right where the hand grip is by the trigger.. :salute:

looks good. What kind of valve is that?

Its a 3/4" asco brass solenoid valve. Its just like a sprinkler valve, and its modified just like one also.. Im not sure what the model # is?? The diaphram on mine is not the original. I used a stronger materal, its nitrle ( I think thats how its spelled? ) Its a synthetic rubber and its fabric renforced. Some of the metal parts in the valve I replaced with nylon just to reduce weight. just so the valve can open faster.

The only pop off valve I have is the one the trigger is made of, but I think it might be rated a bit higher because I altered it a little. It started out to be 150 psi I think???

I was wondering is there any thing on my gun that anybody thinks needs to be better. meaning ,Design, performance, or if there is any thing you think is destacting from the look.. Right now its very comfortable and the performance is ok, I think?? unless someone can help me make it better. I dont want to go crazy with PSI, I think 125 PSI is enough for my needs , and the saftey of other people (Including me..) I know it could be better, but tooling and machining for me is limited..If any body can think of how to make my gun look kick ass!!! I would be happy..Thanks :thumbright:

How about you take off that original handle and make your own out of wood? Here would be my design if i were you. Maybe add that little scope too...
