Build a 1.5" dia pneumatic, with a 1.5" dia chamber and a 1.5" dia barrel.
As for the valve...well that's up to you.

Okay.
The best thing you could do with the pipe, considering your "haves" and "wants" is to set it aside while you go to work

wait til you get about 15 more bucks, and buy a sprinkler valve and mod it.

In this case, you could actually just use a ball valve. With such an insanely long barrel, the shorter opening time of the sprinkler valve would mean nothing.
But there's an even cheaper way: Make a ghetto style MDF plug (free if you have the material) for the end of the chamber, where you can attach some old valve, and hold it in with hot glue. For the firing valve, use a burst disk in a 1.5" PVC union. Voila. Instant monstergun. You'll need a big space to set it up in, but it would be kickass with heavier projectiles. To connect the barrel sections, just use couplings. For that size, they should be less than a dollar a piece.
And I have to wonder, where did you get hundreds of feet of this pipe?

That changes everything. All you have to do is look up scrap or salvage in your phone book, if you gotta take the bus bend up a few of the copper pipes and take them there and sell like two.
You should get enough to buy a sprinkler valve, some primer and pvc glue some fittings (90's, T's, couplings).
Sell more and make a copper gun with a qev if you want.
Other than that maybe you could design a good project and find a friend who wants one. He can buy the pipe for his from you and share the glue/primer.
you can buy your valve/fittings with the money.

that picture just made me piss myself laughing!
annnyyywayy, basically do what that picture decribes except have a 20'barel and a 20' chamber then all you need is various simple pvc parts and youve got a good gb gun.

I agree you should go with a ballvalve (OR burst disk!). On these lengths flow matters more then opening time. Also, since your PVC is rated to 330 psi, you should use it at 330 psi, and thus so should your valve be capable off.
I believe sprinklers dont go up to 330 right?

i retact my last idea
a burst disk would make this one of the most powerful pneumatic guns on this here site, no?

would it be possible break the sound barriear with this gun?
also im not familiar with burst disks so could someone walk me through making one and puttting it in my soon to be uber gun
also i already have some 1.5 inch couplers and such
oh and i already have primer and cement left over from one of my basic combustions

what should i use as a valve to fill the tank
i was thinking of an air compressor fitting that fits into a coupler on an air hose
or a shrader valve maybe?
