Well, ive been doing some thinking, and while shooting my air rifle i had an epiffany......

if the trigger pull is minue, meaning all it takes is a light tap, your accuracy will be much higher that if the trigger took some serious force and speed to open, like a blowgun.

the only problem is that all the electronic valves (rated to the pressure i want..... 400-500 PSI) are all EXTREMELY expensive. Basically, i need a different way to do this......... or a place where i can get something cheap.

i need it to be able to be opened by at least 12 VDC.... and the flow really doesnt matter.... the smallest that will work is 1/8 inch.... and the valve has to be SMALL, id say the maximum size would be 2"X2"X2", although slightly bigger would work, id have to change my design a little bit though.

Sorry if this is a little bit redundant of a post, but i feel like this is a special situation...... and the gun will be worth it i promise

and if anyone has any other ideas on how to make an electronic trigger for a high-powered gun, let me know.

you use a piston valve on your gun piloted by another 1/8" piston valve wich is piloted by a solenoid?

did you check out some of the other valves, they do smaller ones cheaper at a lessser pressure. only other thing i can suggest is try e-bay.

i found a 33 dollar one that can take 300 PSI.... i could be happy with that.

1/2 inch 800 PSI, nice find! The price seems reasonable for what you are getting. Too bad I can pick Up a PB gun with a valve thats rated for 3000 for 40 bucks...

i am curious as to what valve you are referring to. as far as i know no paintball marker uses a 3000 psi rated valve.

A paintball gun that runs off of HPA would require the use of that

My bad, I said that on an assumption one of my paintball playing friends isn't lying. He said you could run straight c02 into it. The gun is a kingman hammer. I've confirmed it can take straight Co2, but is Co2 that high?

even with hpa there is no paintball marker that uses a 3000 psi valve. you put 3000 psi in a marker and it will blow itself apart.

blowback markers like the spyder and tippmann and others that use co2 normaly operate at around 800 to 850 psi. even using hpa it must also beregulated down to those pressures or lower depending on the marker.

I'd thought about an electronic valve before...

Spring loading and a latching trigger that releases the sprung mechanism is a lot easier.

Co2 Max is about 1150 PSI and that is under high Heat.

HPA can be up to 4500-5000 or 6000

How ever HPA bottles for paintball have a built in regulator so the output is either High at 850 PSI or Low at 450 PSI.

Not to mention most paintball guns use a pilot to operate a Piston Ie.BOLT. so the solenoids are very small.

The ion solenoid is 4mm and 1/8th tube
