So far i've made 4 combustions and i want to make a pneumatic. It will most likely use a sprinkler valve (modded?) & it will probably have 2 or 3 barrels (.5", .75", 1"). Anyway, i am always open to tips and suggestions, especially regarding the attachment of shrader (tire?) valves and psi guages. Also, do 1" or 3/4" sprinkler valves work with threaded pvc adaptors of the same size and pvc cement? Also, what is the pressure rating of a sprinkler valve and how much pressure can you generate with a bike pump? Any other tips/hints/suggestions regarding small pneumatics will be appreciated.

all (well most...) sprinkler valves use standard threaded fittings, so no pvc cement. Always use a 1" sprinkler valve, because sprinkler valves restrict the flow a ton.

same rules as combustions.....always tap hole in 2layers of pvc
you will want to tread the hole with a tap when you install your gauge and shrader.
I like to use jar top valves..they mod easier and are easier to clean/maintain

here is one of my basic guns...
