New user wanting to make a spud gun for long range shooting

Hi, I am a new user, and I would like to know how to make a PVC combustion spud gun made for long range shooting, I've made a spud gun out of pringles cans but that didn't turn out so good.

You need:
- A toilet paper roll (or a paper towel roll for longer barrel)
-A Gerbil
-And a firecracker, not a big one a little one might work.

That was a really bad joke. Just look in the combustion cannon showcase and get some ideas then post more specific questions.
You'll get better advice. Try to find other posts about the same topics to ask in whenever possible. 8)
