Well, i was very happy today at the succesful construction of my first shock pump. beofre i give pics ill give the stats:
Pump Bore: .62"
Pump Bore Material: 1/2 inch Type L copper
Pump Shaft: 1/8 inch Steel Rod
Pump Head: 17/32 brass tubing and Epoxy
check Valve: Schrader Valve
Anywho's, Heres The pics. Keep in mind i still need a pressure guage and some kind of hose for my quick-connect, but all in all i am happy with this pump. I can acheve what i believe is around 400 PSI with ease (take a look at the last picture

so cool gauge.. it has to be so accurate
the pump is a small volume sick bastard

Nice. I am thinking of building one like Gippeto's How-To.
But I'll refer to this one to see if there are different parts I may prefer.
Great pump.
LOL, I've done what you did to the gauge to a couple speedometers before.(usually the cable piece broke first though)

Another nice pump for our viewing pleasure!
With a .62 bore you will be able to get some spectacular pressures. 550 psi is within reach, more if you change out that schrader. (they take about 70 psi to open)

Its an floating o-ring design?
And how did you use a schrader as check valve?

The shrader is used instead of the floating O-ring.
It's positioned at the front of the rod.
I think the floating O-ring design is easier, but I can;t deny this pump is a beauty!
You really should build yourself one of these psycix!!
It would really help your marblegun's performance.
You know...the one you STILL haven't posted...

isn't the scrader located near near the T because when the piston makes the compression stoke it needs a one way valve (scrader) to dump into the chamber without letting air come back. It looks like this is a floating O ring piston.

it takes 70 PSI to open a schrader??? wow. Im going to remove the spring inside the valvestem and see if it makes my puming any easier
On a side note, i pressurized the .177 Stick gun to the point at which the Presta valve took a hammer to press in, and even then, the presta didnt do anything besides let out a little "pfft" of air. I had to ram a rod down the barrel to release the pressure
not to mention i had to unscrew my quick-connect because i coudnt press in the male quick-connect peice to release the pressure

) How did you get the check valve in there? Maybe a diagram?
