I was looking through my dads scrap plumbing parts today and I found loads of old radiator valves, and if you look inside them there basicaly a reverse hammer valve with a thread attached so that it can be opened and closed small amounts. If you take the threaded parts out though you are left with a small metal peg which closes the valve when pushed in and opens it when you pull it back out. I dont know if someone wants to have a play around with one to see if you can use for maybe a semi auto or something like that. I just thought it was interesting discovery
