1 Gallon (contains more volume, just a project name for it) is the precurser to 10 gallon my big spud gun planned in this thread

It features my palindrome valve. Its not a revolution in piston valves, but it just may be when it comes to Over the Counter high performance valves. 1 Gallon was a testing platform for this valve. This gun works great, way better than expected. Hopefully the same holds true for 10 gallon. The valve can be explained in more detail if desired, and after 10 gallon is complete I will post up CAD renderings with dimensions of both 1 gallon and 10 gallons valves so everyone can enjoy cheap, high performance piston valves.

People are probably wondering why I'm going on and on about the palindrome valve being better than the conventional, easily made piston valve. The main difference is that the barrel section of the valve (or the exit) does not extend into the T, or Cross fitting at all, which when it does, it hampers performance, creating alot of turbulance. Is this really a big deal? No if all you wanna do is chuck spuds, but if you want to be able to get the same speed you get with a piston valve with the barrel protruding into or past it, but at 10-15PSI less needed, than yea its nice. I wanted a more efficient valve for 10 gallon because I really dont want to have to pump it up to 100 PSI since it will take forever, So having greater efficiencys means I can pump it up less and get the same performance. Simple really 8)

Looking nice, it might be good if you post some specs of the actual cannon itself, i'm sure more people will be asking.

complete specs and labled CAD renderings, as well as a parts list with current prices (OK that last one may be just a little bit overboard, but i'll try) will be posted up after my 10 gallon project is completed. Sorry but I'm just kinda pooped from trouble shooting 1 gallon tonight (turned out pool noodles DO NOT make good bumpers, I repead DON't USE THEM!! haha, the whole noodle bumper - about 5" long - got sucked into the intake of the sprinkler valve... wow)

Very clean gun mobile. It's not too many of us bother producing full CAD renderings on our cannons. I'm usually designing up to the last squirt of paint, then just glad to be finished with the thing.

While nice, it seems like the paint job needs a touch of something...some highlights, trim or camo treatment maybe...I can't put my finger on it really.

Otherwise excellent build!

Oh yes, a little more detail on your valve would be great.

Sorry if I misworded myself, I will only be CAD'ing up the valve section of the gun, the rest of the gun is self explanitory i presume - couple of T's, 45's, 90's, and end caps, the rest is up to your imagination!

The paintjob - I agree. I think it would have looked a ton cooler if I painted it with a Base color of army green or black, then with a gray over coat, then took a sander to it and produced a rub-through look for the "vintage" look haha. But this is the first gun I've painted, so it looks pretty good. well At least im happy with it

Since the foam in them is air-tight, they are crushed down to a very small size when the chamber is pressurized (about 1/8th @ 125psi). It probably wouldn't do much as a bumper like that.

Do you have a sketch with the valve's internal dimensions, by the way?
