so i was at the civilian surplus store today and i found something that appeared to be an already made piston valve for a pnuematic
this is the inside when looking througth the "front"
this is the inside when looking throught the top
and finally the thingy you pull on to open the valve
so would this work as a piston then?

it does look like it works as a piston, but when you said you have to pull that thing to open, it kinda sounds like a pull valve

Very interesting, can you get the "piston" out?
Looks like 2 in 1 out, a mixing valve???

im going to disassemble it tomorrow
to see if i can i do not think it is a mixing valve though because all ports stay open and unrestricted when i pull on the stem that opens the front port

Don't forget the ammo!
Could be from/for a blending pump, like at a gas station. 2 grades of gas go into 1 to make a mid grade octane.

im thinking one inch ball valve to pilot this thing
what chamber pressures would be required to open this rather hefty valve
i disassembled it and it has o-rings in it yea
im thinking 2 inch barrel but would that would require using a 2 in to 1 in bushing and im not sure how well that would work
because my goal is to shoot caulking tubes out of the thing that are filled with various mixtures of my choosing
