Automatic Golfball Cannon

I would like to know if anyone has tried this? It looks like a fun build and in USA not too expensive. I have no idea as to how this works.

only problem is you need a HUGE air compressor......... which i lack.........
its too bad. im sure it works beautifully..........

I guess you could get a CO2 tank and regualtor? Or maybe find someone with a massive high pressure compressor and get them to fill tanks for you? This thing must really suck air...
I think it would be cool to make a marble sized one of these. How does this actaully work? Video should have showed a demo...

I actually only have a 5hp Craftsman with a 26 gallon tank, and I could fire for a fair amount of time. I would say a good 20 rounds or so. Once the input pressure drops below 100psi, the launcher won't cycle. You also need some sort of loading mech (blow forward was my first choice) or you will misfire, and also loose some velocity. Dave's peg system would be a lower tech solution. I posted a vid of it firing somewhere... No doubt it's no longer hosted, and lost forever.

I still have to rig DR's loader on a cannon.
I'm thinking it would be a nice touch on my mauler cannon/

the whole system makes sense...... its kind of like a pop-off pilot, but with electricity instead of air pressure...........
in fact thats the ONLY difference i see..........

if you used a small compressor you could also use a 20 ounce co2 tank and when the pressure drops the co2 could help offset the difference.
